WHAT YOUR ROLE ENTAILS AND HOW YOU'LL CONTRIBUTE

The Research Engineering Technician is an essential member of the R&D group. In this position you will fabricate, assemble, and install first-to-industry equipment at our Supply Chain facilities. This includes machining parts, welding, coating, and painting, electrical cabinet assembly, field wiring, and completion of subassemblies and final assemblies. It also requires close collaboration with the engineers and the receiving facilities, from concept development through hand-off and every step in between.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

The following is required to be considered for this role:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • At least 3 years of technician experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Your resume application will stand out if you have:

  • Specialized or vocational coursework
  • 2-year college certificate in engineering
  • Completion of a certified technical program and 4 years' experience as a technician OR 8 years of experience as a technician or equivalent
  • Demonstrated skill in interpreting machine, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic drawings
  • Demonstrated skill selecting and assembling electrical, pneumatic, and electronic components
  • Demonstrated experience with motor controls and PLCs
  • Demonstrated skill operating mills, lathes, saws, drills, grinders, welders, brakes, punches, shears, heat-treating equipment, paint sprayers, and bead blasters
  • Technical training in electrical design, electrical circuits, motor controls, and programming PLCs
  • Demonstrated experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD or Solid Edge
  • Demonstrated skill in preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment
  • Able to use schematics, blueprints, and machine drawings to diagnose machine issues
