Job Description

PURPOSE OF THE JOB


The Loss Prevention and Safety Clerk position is responsible for providing customer service and front desk coverage to our associates, vendors and outside customers, ensuring building security, access, and safety for our daily operations of the distribution center.

  • Greet visitors and employees entering the building.
  • Conduct visual security checks for employees and visitors entering and exiting the building.
  • Answers incoming calls, directing those calls to the appropriate associate or taking messages.
  • Provide administrative support for the Distribution Center, including but not limited to:
  • Orders office supplies
  • Updating daily reports
  • Assist with accident/injury investigations.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1 year of relevant work experience
  • Intermediate understanding of the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Novice understanding of emergency/evacuation procedures

Mental Functions:

Duties of a routine nature where the incumbent gradually assumes the specific responsibilities associated with the job class. Decisions taken at this level relate to routine matters. Autonomy in the performance of work is limited and tasks are carried out according to the detailed instructions of an immediate supervisor.

Physical Functions:

Lifting required 5% of time (25 pounds), sitting required 75% of time, walking required 10% of time, Standing required 10% of time.

Standard office and computer equipment including MS Office software.
