The below is a position with ASPEQ Heating Group. ASPEQ Heating Group is a marketplace leader in innovative electric heating solutions for residential, commercial, and industrial markets. With a portfolio that includes baseboard, wall, unit and infrared heaters as well as ceiling fans and air circulators, we create simplified heating solutions for our complex work.

How you will make an Impact (Job Summary)

SPX is a diverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. As an Infrared Inside Sales Engineer, you will provide technical assistance, sales support, sales follow-up, and compelling quotations to our external customers. In addition, this position will support Quality and Process improvements, as well as assist other business functions when technical expertise is required.

What you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)

While each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be:

  1. Customer Engagement and Support
    • Establish and maintain customer relationships
    • Call on management representatives such as engineers, architects, or other professional and technical personnel at commercial, industrial, and other establishments and attempts to convince prospective client of desirability and practicability of products or services offered.
    • Work with factory direct or outside sales representatives on the preparation and/or presentation of pricing, technical information, proposals and related documents for the purpose of obtaining customer purchase orders.
    • Manage assigned product lines, geographic region, OEM or key accounts as defined by sales management.
    • Perform quoting activity for customer

  1. Technical Advise and Training
    • Review blueprints, plans, specifications, and other customer documents to develop and prepare cost estimates or establish pricing of the proposed equipment or services
    • Provide technical services to clients relating to use, operation, and maintenance of equipment
    • Provide technical training to field sales personnel
    • Be product expert and continually looking to enhance the company's products
    • Recommend solutions, designs, alterations or application of company's products or services to satisfy the needs of the customer in keeping with company objectives.
    • Liaison between sales, engineering, manufacturing, quality and production control on all issues regarding the customer's placement of or intent to place purchase orders.
    • Report competitive or commercial issues relating to company's products or services to management
    • Present the company, to outside agencies, in a manner consistent with the standards of the company
    • Participate in all other duties as assigned that relate to the overall goals of the department or organization

What we are looking for (Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education)

We each bring something to the table, and we are looking for someone who has:

Required Experience

  • 2-3 years' experience in a technical sales or support role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to read and understand drawings and technical specifications
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish credibility with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Results oriented mindset with a proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends and opportunities, and make data driven decisions
  • Detailed oriented approach, ensuring accuracy and completeness in data entry and reporting
  • Self-directed and organized, exhibiting strong initiative, and the ability to prioritize and execute multiple priorities in a fast paced and changing environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field

Travel & Working Environment

  • Hybrid office environment - 2 days on-site
  • Up to 25% Travel
