The Construction Quality Assurance Specialist/Engineer/Manager is responsible for ensuring that construction projects meet and comply with all relevant codes, regulations, and specifications. They oversee quality control processes, conduct inspections, and work closely with project managers and contractors to address any quality issues that arise during construction.

Construction Quality Assurance Specialist Essential Functions:

  • Develop and implement quality control plans for construction projects.
  • Conduct regular inspections of construction sites to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Identify and address quality issues in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to resolve quality-related problems.
  • Review and approve construction materials and methods to ensure they meet specifications.
  • Keep detailed records of quality control inspections and findings.
  • Provide training and guidance to construction teams on quality control procedures.
  • Stay current with industry standards and regulations related to construction quality assurance.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree** in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
  • Three years proven experience in construction quality assurance or a similar role.
  • Knowledge of construction codes, regulations, and standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Certification in quality assurance (e.g., Certified Construction Quality Manager) is a plus.
  • This position requires successful vetting as an Employee Possessor in accordance with U.S. Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
  • This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, if required.
  • This position requires successful vetting for unescorted access in accordance with U.S. Army and Department of Defense access policies.
