The Workforce and Economic Development Division (WED) of Metropolitan Community College is the leader in innovative workforce solutions and community enrichment. Job Summary: Responsible for instructing students in the classroom, on the range and on the road. The instructor will follow all requirements outlined in the new Entry Level Driving Training (ELDT) consisting of theory, pre-trip, backing and driving training.
Essential Functions:
Prepare and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences
Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities
Prepare classroom and range for class activities
Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment
Observe and evaluate student's performance and development
Provide appropriate feedback
Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students
Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development
Update all necessary records accurately and completely as required by laws, policies and school regulations
Prepare required reports on students and activities
Enforce rules and procedure(s) in the classroom and on the range
Maintain daily attendance sheet
Communicate necessary information regularly to students and colleagues regarding student progress and student needs
Keep up to date with developments in subject area
Performs other similar duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
Minimal Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED
Three (3) years of commercial driving experience
Valid CDL License
Valid DOT Physical
Satisfactory completion of motor vehicle record (MVR) check upon hire
A MVR check will be executed annually in adhere to MCC's Motor Vehicle Safety District Regulation (3.05170 DR)
