Our Garden Segment is searching for a Brand Manager on the Grass Seed Brand Team in our Atlanta, GA office. This position will include building a cohesive brand with clear omnichannel communications, a full product pipeline based on consumer needs, and breakthrough demand generation. This Brand Manager role will utilize brand management experience to chart and execute the strategic growth path within our largest garden brand.
MEASURES OF SUCCESS
- Responsibility for P&L including forecasting, budgeting, and managing spend against annual financial targets
- Serve as brand steward for newly articulated brand positioning ensuring its execution across products, packaging, communications, and advertising
- Identify, evaluate, and lead commercialization of new product development projects that fill out a 3 to 5 year pipeline consistent with growth objectives
- Partner with Sales and Customer Marketing teams to identify opportunities for growth for given brands within accounts and driving execution across the Business Unit teams
- Manage the annual operations of the assigned product portfolio, including the different aspects of the product life cycle
- Act as category expert through deep understanding of both consumer and customer needs
- Understand and anticipate industry trends to develop and execute annual and long-range business plans, including solid analyses that support overall recommendations
- Plan and execute budget to manage portfolio P&L, presenting variance, key drivers, and recommendations to management
- Lead geographically dispersed cross-functional teams, including, but not limited to, Sales, R&D, Product Development, Operations, Purchasing, Finance, Consumer Insights, Agency, and Legal to champion projects
- Manage project timelines, anticipate deviations from plan, and proactively identify and recommend solutions
- Develop business case, plan, and coordinate new product launches from concept to market, including consumer validation, product development, packaging development, volume forecasting, tracking and sales communications
- Develop sales tools/materials to optimize impact of the sales organization
- Plan and execute communication strategy to include, but not limited to electronic media, PR, POP, collateral, licensing tie-ins, etc.
