As a Crisis Services Supervisor you will oversee the provision of emergency response services to individuals in distress, typically working in a crisis hotline or mobile crisis unit setting. Key responsibilities include managing and training staff, ensuring effective delivery of crisis intervention and counseling services, monitoring service quality, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of best practices and relevant legislation, liaising with external partners such as law enforcement and healthcare providers, handling complex cases, and administering day-to-day operations while promoting a safe and supportive environment for both employees and those seeking help. Additionally, you may be tasked with budgeting, fundraising, and advocacy efforts aimed at raising awareness about mental health issues and supporting ongoing improvements within the crisis services field.
