Overview

The Manager of Telecom Procurement is directly responsible for day-to-day leadership of third party procurement, renewal, and termination of vendor circuits. This position is directly responsible for the successful delivery of process transformation and change management initiatives, enabling the Procurement organization to achieve its goals, including cost management and improved Time to Revenue. Process mapping, process improvement, and data analysis are key to success in this role.

Responsibilities

Preferred Education

Bachelor's degree, preferably in Supply Chain or Operations Management, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

    Oversee and execute processes, including carrier quoting, circuit ordering, circuit renewals, and circuit management through to circuit terminations
  • Continuous process improvement on all processes associated with quoting, ordering, renewing, and terminating circuits
  • Telecom Expense Management (TEM) oversight - management of relationship and processes involved in TEM environment
  • Vendor relationship management of carriers, including business reviews
  • Develop procedures for the operation of procurement activities regarding telecom assets
  • Identify process gaps and develop and implement gap resolution plans
  • Establish and manage strategic goals, targets, and key performance indicators
  • Participate in budget-related activities regarding telecom and bandwidth spend
  • Negotiate with suppliers on new services and renewals toward the goal of meeting cost-savings targets

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Experience with telecom category and related processes
  • Supervisory, Procurement, or Operations Management experience
  • Experience in transformation, including tools and processes
  • ServiceNow experience a plus

Working Conditions

  • Office environment
  • Hybrid role provides flexibility regarding office and work-from-home arrangements
  • Travel requirements minimal
