About the Role:
As the Bayer Digital Farming Head of UX and Research, you will build and lead the team that creates best-in-class User Experience anddelivers key outcomes for farmers and advisors alike. In this role, you will lead the Global UX Platform Strategy and collaborate with Business, Engineering, and Product to align and execute on it. You will also set the UX Design and Research team's operational excellence that is guided by industry best practices. As the leader of the team, you will coach and grow Bayer Digital Farming'sDesign and Research Talent.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a dynamic team of product designers and researchers.
  • Foster a culture of creativity, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Provide strong coaching and mentorship to support the growth of team members.
  • Develop and oversee end-to-end product design strategy aligned with business goals.
  • Champion an evidence-guided, customer-first approach in all design solutions.
  • Orchestrate in-depth user research to inform design decisions.
  • Ensure that all design solutions are innovative and aligned with user needs.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration through workshops and design sprints.
  • Work closely with other departments to drive innovation and ensure a cohesive product experience.
  • Establish and maintain a robust design system to ensure consistency across the enterprise solutions.
  • Manage a team of approximately 12 to 20 designers and researchers.
  • Play a crucial role in hiring, onboarding, and developing team members.
  • Ensure the quality and excellence of the design deliverables produced by the team.
  • Set and maintain high standards for design processes and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and incorporate feedback into the design process.
  • Drive innovation within the design team and contribute to the overall innovation culture of the organization.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in design to bring fresh insights to the team.
  • Establish metrics for evaluating the effectiveness of design solutions and iterate based on data-driven insights.
Who You Are:
Your success will be driven by your demonstration of our LIFE values. More specifically related to this position, Bayer seeks someone who possesses the following:
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in design (e.g. interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial), HCI, Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 12+ years of experience in designing Digital Products and Leading UX delivery from ideation to delivery.
  • 5+ years in building and leading world-class user experience design organizations and demonstrated leadership at senior levels in the organization.
  • A digital portfolio showcasing a track record of building and launching UX for Global Products.
  • Experience leading/setting UX Design and Research best practices and operational excellence.
  • Track record of aligning design strategies with business objectives.
  • Experience in developing and evolving design systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's (or Master's degree) in Design, HCI, or related field.
  • Experience in, or understanding of, the Agriculture industry.
  • Experience leading UX design for global digital products.
  • Experience leading global design teams.

Base salary estimated range between $180-230k annually, depending on the hiring location. You may also be offered bonuses, RSUs cash equivalent, or commission.
