Pennington Seed is searching for an experienced flex shift Security Guard for our Greenfield, Missouri location. This position requires qualified candidates to be safety conscious and able to perform required functions in a productive manner, working with tight schedules and deadlines.
MEASURES OF SUCCESS
- Security of the Pennington Complex during the weekend.
- Checking Buildings and Grounds, making hourly checks of the buildings inside and outside.
- For Fires, Machinery left on and heaters (wintertime) or broken pipes. Anything not the norm.
- Keep a Security checklist of all finding (turn in daily).
- Question anyone entering the facility.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must have good attendance.
- Must be able to work a 12-hour shift.
- Must follow all safety rules.
- Keep in touch with the management who are working during the weekend.
- And any instructions on any people being on the complex on the weekend.
- Anything strange or out of the ordinary report to management immediately.
- Keep a call log on who to call and emergency phone numbers.
IDEAL CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTES
- Recommend at least one years experience in security.
- Be willing and able to learn new procedures.
- Be able to work flexible hours as needed.
- Be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
- Be able to work with others and maintain mature composure.
- Computer skills are necessary.
- SAP knowledge optional.
- Strong communication skills.
- Attention to detail necessary.
- Be able to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Work is performed in a manufacturing environment.
- Work temperatures may vary due to outside temperatures.
- The work environment may be dusty.
