Location: Terex USA, Mt. Vernon, MO

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Hydraulic Component Installer to join our manufacturing team. The primary responsibility of this role is to install hydraulic components into equipment according to specifications, ensuring proper functionality and safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of hydraulic systems, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Install hydraulic components, including pumps, valves, cylinders, hoses, and fittings, into equipment according to engineering drawings and instructions.

Conduct thorough testing of hydraulic systems to ensure proper installation and functionality.

Inspect components and systems for leaks, defects, or malfunctions, and troubleshoot any issues that arise during installation.

Verify correct operation of hydraulic equipment, including pressure testing and flow testing, to meet performance standards.

Collaborate with engineers and production team members to resolve any technical issues related to hydraulic systems.

Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), compliance with OSHA regulations, and accordance to all Terex procedures.

Maintain a clean and organized work area (5S), including proper storage of tools and equipment.

Document installation procedures, test results, and any modifications made to hydraulic systems for quality assurance purposes.

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in hydraulic component installation processes.

Assist in the preparation of equipment for shipping, ensuring that all hydraulic components are properly secured and functioning correctly.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification in hydraulics preferred.
  • Proven experience in hydraulic system installation and maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of hydraulic principles and components.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks requiring manual labor and lifting of heavy equipment.
  • Familiarity with hydraulic testing equipment and diagnostic tools is a plus.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
