Essential Job Functions:

  • Assists to create culture in which clients, referral sources, stakeholders, and personnel are treated with dignity and respect.
  • Assists in driving quality management practices ensuring confidentiality, CARF, contractual and organization best practice standards while delivering services.
  • Coordinates students' work-based learning experiences within the Pre-Employment Training - Work Experience Program including new hire paperwork, orientation and weekly timesheets
  • Supports and assists VR Summer Employment Specialist
  • Supports students on the worksite by facilitating individuals' full integration into the worksite and serve as a mediator between co-workers and supervisors as necessary.
  • Obtains information about students through intake process, including meetings with students and their families, stakeholders, and school personnel in order to understand and know the student's strengths, skills, capacities, needs, vocational and other interests.
  • Assists with referrals and coordination of team member assignments, justify hiring additional team members and manage hiring process.
  • Completes required incident/accident reporting for events. Inform team members of the Request for Change process, encourage its use and respond within required timeframes to all requests submitted.
  • Assists with billing and/or reimbursement documentation is created and entered into the associated database in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Tracks and reports the revenue and expense information for designated service areas.
  • Participates in networking, memberships and marketing activities throughout the local community, region and state to increase awareness and develop partnerships benefiting clients and services.
  • Assists with direct services to consumers in any capacity needed, including carrying a caseload of persons served as designated.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Previous experience displaying:

  • Ability to organize people and projects.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop written reports and present information with confidence.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships of trust with team members and Leadership.
  • Ability to exercise independent decision making.
  • Positive team player.
  • Patience and understanding supporting individuals with disabilities and/or barriers to employment, education, and/or independent living.

Experience and Education Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent certificate required.
  • Bachelor's degree in an applicable field such as human services or social services from an accredited institution is preferred.
  • One year of related experience is preferred.

Supervisory Requirements:

  • None

Employment Requirements:

  • Successful completion of background check including criminal record, driving record and abuse/neglect.
  • Completion of New Hire Orientation at the beginning of employment.
  • All training requirements including Relias Learning at the beginning of employment and annually thereafter.
  • Must have current or be willing to obtain certification in CPR/First Aid.
  • Current driver's license with an acceptable driving record and current auto insurance are required.

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is frequently required to sit and stand for

extended periods (4-8 hours); walking may be required for short periods when conducting

field-based activities. They must frequently use hands and fingers to write, type, operate a

mouse, file documents, and otherwise handle documents. They must talk and hear when

responding to in-person and/or phone inquiries. The associate must occasionally lift and/or

move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and

ability to adjust focus.
