As a key leader in NextGen's Revenue Cycle team, the Director, Revenue Integrity and Client Engagement is responsible for identifying and leading efforts to improve revenue cycle performance with NextGen's clients, and our internal revenue cycle operations. The incumbent will direct projects to implement new solutions and drive process improvements, as well as lead teams regularly evaluating and communicating financial improvement opportunities to client organizations,.

The incumbent will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing revenue integrity strategies, policies, and procedures to improve revenue cycle performance
  • Collaborating with revenue cycle operations, compliance, and technology teams to identify and address revenue cycle improvement opportunities
  • Monitoring and analyzing revenue cycle performance metrics, identifying trends, and leading efforts to optimize revenue capture and reduce denials
  • Ownership of RCM-related client communication and regular performance reporting
  • Staying current with industry regulations, coding guidelines, and reimbursement methodologies to ensure compliance
  • Serving as a subject matter expert on revenue integrity matters, providing education and training to staff and stakeholders as needed

Education Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Healthcare Administration, or related discipline.
  • Or, any combination of education and experience which would provide the required qualifications for the position

Experience Required:

  • 7+ years of progressive responsibility in healthcare administration or revenue cycle operations
  • 5+ years of leading teams in revenue cycle operations
  • 5+ years of leading process improvement projects or consulting experience
  • Or, any combination of education and experience which would provide the required equivalent qualifications for the position.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of: RCM Client Optimization processes, protocols, and best practices as related to the functional area of expertise; RCM principles, theories, and data models to measure and predict outcomes of processes; data analytics tools and processes; general accounting principles and best practices; Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Skill in: Management, leadership, and decision making; exercising judgement in problem solving; interpreting laws and regulations; problem solving, conceptual, analytical, and critical thinking; working as member of a team; communicating clearly, concisely, and effectively; establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
  • Ability to: Lead or direct multiple complex projects and activities in a fast-paced performance and scalability; Foster teamwork; supervise, train, evaluate, mentor, and develop a team of professionals; professionally communicate information and ideas both verbally and in writing; establish and build collaborative relationships; build, develop, and manage a team of professionals; adapt to change in the workplace; work in a fast-paced environment; stay organized, prioritize workload, multitask, and meet deadlines.
