Our Garden Segment is searching for a Warehouse Manager in our Greenfield, MO facility. The Warehouse Manager is responsible for day-to-day operations within the facility, and will supervise, motivate, and support the staff daily, while applying a team approach and maintaining profitability. TheWarehouse Manager will plan, schedule, strategize, and oversee all production activities while playing a key role in meeting the organizations visions and upholding our core values.

MEASURES OF SUCCESS

  • Approve and authorize timesheets for accuracy and monitor overtime for all employees.
  • Maintain employee schedules to ensure each shift is covered for that weeks workload and working efficiently.
  • Conduct daily meetings with the employees for what is being shipped and/or received as well as Toolbox Meeting for all shifts.
  • Stay within budget by working efficiently to meet or cut costs.
  • Maintain a clean and safe workplace for all employees.
  • Follow and implement required safety procedures; assist in training and keeping all employees and temporary workers trained and current on company standards.
  • Communicate daily with Yard Truck driver to make sure inspection reports are completed properly as well as other issues.
  • Promote a positive work environment to work as a team with open communication.
  • Negotiate cost of trucking for returns, set up appointments for pickup, and keep communication open with Returns Center.
  • Inspect loading and unloading of trucks as well as the warehouse and return center.
  • Track recycling market on selling cardboard and plastic. Ensure that each department is tracking currently and consistently.
  • Keep a variety of pallet sizes in all departments ready for production. Track and negotiate cost per pallet to keep costs down.
  • Audit for mistakes, make corrections, train to ensure errors are not repeated.
  • Code and submit warehouse purchase to accounting for payment.

IDEAL CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTES

  • 3+ years warehouse supervisor experience - preferred
  • Bachelors Degree - preferred
  • SAP experience preferred or willingness to learn.
  • Proficient in Microsoft, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point
  • Effective communication skills; written, oral and formal presentation.
  • Sense of urgency and ability to drive projects to completion.
  • Must have teamwork attitude and collaborative skills.
  • Manual labor required in position (i.e., lifting 50 lb. bags materials)
  • Daily use of industrial equipment (i.e., forklift)
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Full-time position in a warehouse distribution facility.
