As a Community Support Specialist, you'll provide support and activities to clients through an organized treatment plan designed to ease an individual's immediate and continued adjustment to community living. You'll be working in the community, including clients' homes, clinics, and other places around the community as part of your regular assigned caseload. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support and activities to clients through an organized treatment plan designed to ease immediate and continued adjustment to community living
  • Work in the community, including clients' homes, clinics, and other locations as part of a regular caseload
  • Utilize a supportive, educational approach to promote improved functioning and meet clients' needs
  • Provide and coordinate comprehensive follow-up for clients, including missed appointments and conducting outreach and engagement
  • Use advanced knowledge of psychological concepts, evidence-based interventions, and coordinate delivery of mental health services
  • Apply specialized knowledge of behavioral science principles such as motivational interviewing, reinforcement, operant conditioning, social norming, attitude change, persuasion, hierarchy of needs, interpersonal and group dynamics, cognitive processing, attentional processes, personality, and empirically supported behavioral intervention strategies

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • A reliable vehicle & acceptable recent driving record
