Job Description

Supply Chain & Analytics (SC&A) Department in the College of Business Administration at the University of Missouri-St. Louis invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position, beginning Fall 2024. The University of Missouri-St. Louis is an urban public research university located in suburban St. Louis. It is part of the four-campus University of Missouri system and located in Missouri's most populous and economically vibrant region. The College of Business Administration is accredited by AACSB and provides a supportive environment for teaching, research, and service. The SC&A Department teaches undergraduate and master's level courses and houses the College's PhD Program in Supply Chain & Analytics. The SC&A faculty recently secured several major research grants funded by the US DOT, NSF, and companies in the private sector.

St. Louis is a major metropolitan area that features a variety of cultural and recreational activities and moderate living costs. Many significant companies are based in St. Louis, providing numerous opportunities for applied research and interactions with business. The SC&A Advisory Board consists of leading global and local firms, and provides valuable support for the Department's programs, students and faculty. * Applicants are expected to have strong research potential and a commitment to teaching excellence in supply chain management, operations management, logistics/transportation, and business analytics or other related fields.

* Applicants should also be interested in building academic strength in the department, collaborating on research grants, and active involvement in our PhD, MS in Supply Chain Analytics, and our BSBA emphases in supply chain management and business analytics.

* Qualified candidates will possess (or expect to have completed) a doctoral degree in a directly related field from an AACSB-accredited institution or an engineering program by August 2024.

* Relevant business or professional experience and/or having focused research interests in agribusiness or healthcare applications is a plus.

Qualifications

Requirements:
* A doctoral degree in a directly related field from an AACSB-accredited institution or an engineering program by August 2024. (Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Operations Research, Business Analytics, Industrial Engineering or other related field).
* A strong record of, or demonstrated potential for, research in supply chain management, operations management, logistics/transportation, and business analytics or other related fields.

Candidates will be evaluated on:
* Relevant business or professional experience and/or having focused research interests in agribusiness or healthcare applications is a plus.
* Experience supporting the success of students from a wide range of diverse backgrounds and experiences.
* Experience teaching undergraduate or graduate classes.
