Job Description

Evoke is seeking a Program Management Project Manager to join our team. The Program Management Project Manager will be responsible for leading an upcoming award with the VA customer. Evoke Consulting is a federal management consulting firm specializing in three core services areas including management consulting, IT consulting, and Business Process Reengineering. We provide solutions to federal government agencies and entities, including the Department of Energy, Veterans Affairs, Department of Homeland Security, US Marine Corps, and USDA.

Responsibilities:

  • Works independent of supervision
  • Oversees a task order under a contract end-to-end, and assists in the direction of project-level activity and associated team personnel
  • Perform management and support of the analysis, design, development, and implementation of diverse, enterprise-wide processes and application systems. Tasks may include the design study process; conducting studies in support of system redesign and business process reengineering, improvement and management; developing implementation plans; and supporting the process of implementing and sustaining improvements
  • Expertise in managing and controlling of funds and resources including CPIC and OMB 73 related work
  • Responsible for on time delivery and quality assurance on all final products and deliverables
  • Contribute to recurring management reports to ensure that management is equipped with the information needed to make informed project management decisions
  • Decide on suitable strategies and objectives
  • Coordinate cross-project activities
  • Develop and control deadlines, budgets and activities
  • Apply change, risk and resource management
  • Assess program performance and aim to maximize ROI
  • Resolve projects' higher scope issues
  • Partners with customers and analyzes issues and problems from the customer perspective
  • Provides customer-facing presentations on quality
  • Communicates and provides status to define, schedule, and accurately estimate the task duration for project schedule
  • Prepare reports for program directors
  • Perform change management by implementing change control procedures including plans, schedules, requirements, and technical documents
  • Develops detailed, effort based, resource-loaded schedules that include project phasing, project milestones, and critical relationships among program tasks as required to plan, coordinate, and visualize all significant program activities
  • Exercises forward thinking to ensure that proper time is provided for key deliverables and milestones within project schedules, and provides recommendations to improve



Education and Years of Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5 to 7 years of relevant experience



Professional Experience and Skills:

  • Project Management Experience and/or PMP Certification
  • Hands on experience in developing and managing project schedules using MS Project
  • Experience in developing resource utilization matrix and management briefings.
  • Strong analytical skills, superior problem-solving skills, and demonstrates critical thinking
  • Proven ability to anticipate requirements and proactively address new tasks to completion
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in interacting with Senior Leadership/Executives
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment


Security Clearance
