ESS is the largest substitute support staffing company within the US for K-12 Education. In Missouri we are contracted with multiple districts and our teams are busy! You are paid bi-weekly (every other Friday by direct deposit or pay card). You create the schedule that works for you, by building your schedule online in our willSub system and you select the jobs you want to work. You can set your preferences by elementary/middle/High school. We have an app available with push notifications. We offer phone calls as well as we have an online 24hr a day job board that you can select work from. As an ESS employee you are offered benefits and 401K options.

Our contract with the Center School District has up 5 days of work available each week. If you have a second job and are not available all 5 days, you can schedule to substitute for us when you are off work or available. If your job is based off weather, we can fill in those days for you! These are scheduled school hours and you can take your child to work with you. Responsibilities of a substitute teacher and paraprofessional

• assists with classroom instruction by following lesson plans left by the regular teacher
• aid students in understanding the assignment and subject matter
• follow regular classroom assignments
• engage students and always maintain classroom management

• MACHS/FBI Criminal History Clearance- fingerprint code is in your application with us
• FCSR Registry- (https://healthapps.dhss.mo.gov/BSEES)

**** Paraprofessionals do not require college education or a substitute certificate.

ESS has a reimbursement program in place to assist with the some of the credentialing costs once hired. Ask us about that process.

Who you report to:

• You will report to your Account Manager of ESS Tammy Block. She has over 15 years in the education space and has 4 years experience working with the willSub system.
• You will also have an ESS Regional manager that can assist with additional needs. Samantha Moore has worked for ESS for over 4 years with ESS.

District Selection:

We are currently hiring to staff Center School District. (The district sets the pay rates, not ESS.)

Substitute Teacher Pay

Daily rate for teachers is $130 and half day is $65

Daily rate for paras is $120 and half dady is $60

Long Term Teachers $160.00 per day

Secretarial subbing is $16/hour

How quickly can I begin work?

As soon as you finish your application and have completed your background check with the district and registered for the FCSR (family care safety) we can guesstimate a better start date. We have seen a 48hr turn around, for someone who has everything they need on file and ready to upload. Others have taken anywhere from 2-3 weeks. You do not have to give notice to your employer until you have been offered employment and hired by ESS since you are in control of your schedule.

What districts are you contracted with in Missouri with the willSub service?

Currently we are contracted with Lincoln County R3, Bowling Green R1, Hannibal District #60, Ralls County RII, Monroe City R1, Belton 124, Monett R1, & Hollister RV. (Pay rates vary by district)
