The Department of Media, Art and Design in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Missouri-Kansas City is continuously accepting applications for the position of artist model.

THE INTENT OF THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS TO IDENTIFY A POOL OF CANDIDATES FOR ARTIST MODELS.

Job Description

Models are used in our Studio Art classes in the study of drawing the human art figure. Artist models must be able to strike and hold undraped poses in a professional art education setting. Models must have the physical ability to hold sitting, standing, reclining, and gestural poses for up to 30 minutes. The department's need for artist models allows flexibility in scheduling and the average model will work between three and ten class sessions a semester for our department, usually for three hours each session.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
Applicants must be dependable, professional, and mature.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in the performing arts, such as dance or theatre, is preferred.

Anticipated Hiring Range

$17.00 - $20.00 per hour commensurate with experience, education, and internal equity. Non-benefit eligible.
